Do you have room on your couch for Ernie? Ernie loves nothing more than being part of your morning coffee snuggled up to you under his blanket or sitting next to you on the couch as you both watch tv.
Ernie loves to lie in sun especially after the morning park and loves a backyard sniff. He does like to pick a lemon or fig and bring it inside for you. Ernie is a smart boy and finds ways to entertain himself.
Ernie’s love for people is so apparent when you arrive home, no matter how your day has been Ernie will be there waiting to cheer you up. He doesn’t like missing out, he loves a walk to a cafe and a drive. But best exercised before a drive.
He has thrived with a routine living with other dogs. Ernie would be best living with chilled calm dogs as Ernie won’t start the excitement he does follow the lead of the other dogs. Sometimes enjoying the bluster not knowing what everyone’s excited for. If home by himself he is very calm.
Ernie loves the park and exercise. He’s mixes well with dogs of all sizes but is known to steal a ball. Best to have his ball ready to swap back. His favourite park activity after his exercise is to sit with his ball in his gob and watch the dogs play. But he will insist on one more throw before heading out of the park! Ball is life! Bernie loves tennis, soccer and footy balls and will try and sneak it out of the car to sleep with them in his bed. He’s smart & very dexterous and you’ll catch yourself saying did he really just do that?
