Nia is a 17 year old girl who has spent too long roughing it after being abandoned several times. She came into foster covered in scratches and dirt, however after a nice few brushes (which she loooved) and a bit of good food and rest, she is doing great! All her scratches have healed up and the vet was so impressed with her, they said she presents more like a 12 year old cat.

Nia loves to bat at a toy if you tease her with it – but isn’t one for wand toys or chasing things. This girl is more interested in napping, eating, or sometimes – following her people around. For the most part, she’s happy to chill and rest, but she also does want to see you and hear about your day.

She has a really soft coat, it has lots of different colours in it – the fur that comes off in her brush is grey, and as she moves you can see how the fur turns from white to grey to brown to black. It’s so cool! She has very white dainty feet, cute green eyes and so much wisdom. Nia has a very shaky tail – finding lots of things exciting and just being so happy to be cared for. Her only con so far – she is hard to photograph – the phone is an invitation for head scratches.

Nia gets quite vocal around dinner time and loves to thank you for her food with a good head bump and loud purr. She is friendly, good with kids and so far non reactive with other cats through doors and windows but hasn’t properly interacted with the resident cats as yet. Being an older lady she would benefit from a senior diet with supplements.
